PROTEIN:

I did not know that proteins are needed for body tissue to grow and repair itself. They are also a highly complex substance that all living organisms have. It has a great nutritional value and is involved in the chemical processes that are important for life. Proteins are organ-specific, which means that in one organism, muscle proteins differ from those of the brain and liver. Proteins are found in animal sources, such as meat, feat, poultry, and eggs, and from plant sources, such as beans, peas, and nuts. If you want to eat protein to build strong muscles, eat these foods!

Healthy Foods

TRANS FAT:

I never knew that trans fat or hydrogenated fat is unsaturated fat, and raises bad cholesterol levels, while lowering good cholesterol levels. Also, trans fat is put on foods to make them last longer, look more attractive, and for them to be able to stay on the shelves for a longer period of time. Trans fat is used in many fast food and resturants, and results from adding hydrogen to vegetable oils. Finally, trans fat is put on foods to make them more solid and put together and to make their flavor stay on longer, but, however, creates a huge heart disease risk. Trans fat is found in oreos, mostly to make them have a longer "shelf-life" and so they stay solid and put together. If you don't want to eat a chemical that gives you a higher bad cholesterol, increases your heart disease rate, and is made from putting hydrogen to oils, then DON'T EAT OREOS!
